Whether it's a picnic or reception, a performance for a senior group, a birthday party or a sing-a-long show, banjo music is always well received entertainment. My four-string banjo style is reminiscent of the roaring twenties, featuring a solid melody line, syncopated rhythms, including single string solos and “chord melody“ style.
My solo shows usually include the familiar music of Eddie Peabody, Al Jolson, Scott Joplin, Irving Berlin, George Gershwin and others. I provide background explanations on all the tunes and vary the selections based on the time of year and the theme of the gathering. Plus, I usually include sing-a-long tunes for audience participation. I have a number of different shows, depending on the customer’s needs and desires. Some of them are “Music Through the Ages”, “Ragtime to Broadway” and “Banjo Potpourri.” I can customize a show based on your theme.
