WHO WE ARE Located in the Lake Geneva, WI area (Williams Bay), we are a band of strolling musicians consisting of various combinations of one or more banjos, along with a string bass or tuba, and a rhythm washboard. We focus on musical variety, including Ragtime, Dixieland, Roaring 20's, Swing and Show tunes. Click on the Photo section for photos of different combinations of musicians. (Note: The video is a large file and is only recommended to those with a high speed connection.) WHAT WE HAVE TO OFFER Our specialty is acoustic music. We can move around a venue to provide entertainment to everyone in the audience. We also perform after-dinner shows and stage performances. For these, we use a sound system tailored to fit the venue. We regularly provide upbeat performances. Our repertoire also includes Jazz Tunes, Classical Numbers, and of course, the Midwest’s Favorite Polkas. Many customers are pleasantly surprised to hear tunes such as the William Tell Overture, Stars & Stripes Forever as well as Dixieland tunes, waltzes, ethnic medleys, patriotic tunes, and Broadway show tunes from shows such as "Oklahoma" and "The Music Man". WHERE CAN YOU HEAR US The Banjo Barons Ragtime Band performs frequently at Meyers Restaurant in Milwaukee, WI. We also perform at many events such as Grand Openings, Festivals, Concerts, Parades and other activities which are open to the public and where you can hear us. EVENTS WHERE YOU CAN USE US We perform for numerous functions each year primarily throughout the state of Wisconsin and Illinois . In addition, we have performed in other localities around the USA such as Chicago , New Orleans , Nashville , and Los Angeles , in combinations with other local musicians. These performances include performances and concerts for conventions, sales meetings, festivals, country clubs, ballpark promotions as well as private clubs and organizations. These are the types of events that we find the most successful for our type of music. This list is only an idea of the kinds of events for which we perform.
